JET lag is one of the few downsides to world travel but one airline claims to have developed the secret weapon to fight post-flight fatigue.
Air New Zealand has recently unveiled the Bird Mask, named after its birdlike features, designed to help passengers get the best shut-eye they’ve ever had on a long-haul flight, and wake up as fresh as a daisy.
Designed in collaboration with footwear brand Allbirds, the “luxurious and sustainable” mask is crafted from ZQ-certified New Zealand merino wool and castor bean oil-based foam.
The jet lag-fighting travel accessory, available exclusively in Air New Zealand’s Business Premier cabin on selected North American routes, including the airline’s daily service between Los Angeles and London, boasts molded eye indentations, which allow for natural eye movement during sleep, and a birdlike beak to completely block out light.
“By putting our heads together we’ve created a product our customers will truly value and re-use again and again,” said Air New Zealand Chief Marketing & Customer Officer Mike Tod.
