There’s much to love at the Hard Rock Cafe and Hotel, set 70 metres behind Kuta Beach in the heart of the shopping district. It’s the ideal family resort where you can check in at 3pm and head straight to the water slides for some fun in the sun
Urban Chic
More New York loft house than traditional Balinese style the rooms are decked out with a luxurious urban vibe – perfect for bringing out your inner rock star. Hard Rock Bali is a large hotel with 418 rooms, eight dining options and two outdoor pools. Lofts and suites are the order of the day and each one is decked out with a piece of rare rock memorabilia that makes the Hard Rock, well, the Hard Rock.
NOTE: With the refurbishment still underway some of the rooms are due for an update so opt for one of the newly renovated rooms when you book. It makes a big difference.
Kids and teens
The pools can’t be beaten and that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time so sit under the shade of the umbrellas and stay all day. For IDR20,000 (approx. $20) you can send the kids (ages 4-12) to Roxity where they’ll get a free slushie, set lunch and goodie bag as well as access to all the fun they can handle.
Teens will be entertained with pool tables and private cinema, Xbox and DJ Booth at Tabu. Meanwhile, you can download RockOM and escape the heat with a chilled-out yoga session in the cool of your room. Mats and yoga gear are provided. Or just head back to the pool …

Breakfast
Buffet breakfast is included (open from 6.30-10.30am) and with eight eateries on site you’ll never go hungry. There’s everything on offer from Fish and Chips and Chicken Katsu Curry to Nasi Goreng. You’ll be paying close to Aussie prices but if you want cheap eats you only have to head outside where there are hundreds of options to choose from.
Work it
Hard Rock might not be the first place you think of to hold a conference but with 8 meeting rooms, there’s plenty of space for deals to be done. And if one of them happens to be your net recording contract, pop in to the on-site recording studio and lay down your latest track.
If you’re coming to Bali to have fun, The Hard Rock Hotel really is the place where your rockstar dreams can come true.
Rooms from IDR167,500 (approx. AUD$167) Children under 12 stay free.
