WITH more than 70 per cent of Instagram’s content travel-related, social media has become a source of inspiration for millions of travellers around the world.
Travel site Expedia’s 2018 social media and travel report, #LikeToTravel, suggested one in four Millennials and Gen X travellers pick holiday destinations based on what they see on their social media feed on a day-to-day basis.
Not only do Millennials look to Instagram for travel inspiration, they also heavily research how good a destination will look on their Instagram feeds before they book their trip, with 67 per cent stating “Instagrammability” is the most important factor when deciding on a holiday destination.

To Sua Ocean Trench, Samoa
