Jamie Lee Curtis said it best when she gushed, “My little girl is all grown up.” The star was talking about Lindsay Lohan, who’s recently been busy promoting her new film, Falling for Christmas. The role heralds Lohan’s big acting comeback.

The 36-year-old, who starred alongside Curtis as her daughter in 2003’s Freaky Friday, walked the red carpet for the first time with her husband, Bader Shammas, 35, at the New York City screening of her new Netflix movie.
It was a momentous occasion for Lohan, who’s already receiving rave reviews for her performance alongside Glee’s Chord Overstreet.
The film follows Lohan’s Sierra Belmont, a newly engaged heiress and social media influencer who has a skiing accident just days before Christmas.
After suffering a head injury, Sierra is diagnosed with amnesia and finds herself in the care of a gorgeous ski lodge owner (Overstreet) and his daughter.
Naturally, love ensues.

“For me, [the film is about] how the materialistic things in life don’t always matter,” Lohan told Vogue in a case of art imitating her new life.
“It’s really the simple things in life that mean the most – family and love – rather than Instagram and getting a big ring. Not that that’s bad!”
“I’m not that girl from Freaky Friday anymore!

The actress’ new movie marks the resurrection of her once-flourishing film career, which took a downturn due to the star’s partying years.
After relocating to Dubai and finding love with Shammas, the sky’s the limit for the noughties It girl, who surprised the world when they got hitched in secret earlier this year.
“After we wrapped [this film], I was like, ‘When am I starting the next film?’” Lohan said, adding fans can expect to see her again in 2023’s Irish Wish.
Happy, healthy and in love, it’s just like the star once said, “I’m not that girl from Freaky Friday anymore! I’m a real adult.”
