Margot Robbie has a lot to celebrate of late!
The Australian actress who plays figure skater Tonya Harding in her new film I, Tonya has taken to Instagram to share a celebratory post after the announcement that the film was nominated for a 2018 Golden Globe.
"Cheers to the HFPA for giving us something to celebrate this morning! THANK YOU 🙏😊⛸💖 #itonya#goldenglobes," the 27-year-old star captioned a boomerang of a special toast with champagne glasses in hand.
And if the nomination isn't enough to make the actress beam, according to News.com.au, I, Tonya – which launched this week – managed to do so "with an impressive $US245,602 ($A343,843) at four locations in one of the strongest platform openings of the year with $US61,400 ($A85,960) per site."
The dark comedy follows the rise of US ice skate Tonya Harding before her ex-husband intervenes to sabotage Harding's rival Nancy Kerrigan.
Robbie's new film hits Australian cinemas on February 15 2018. Watch the full trailer below!
