It was a time before iTunes when you carefully rewound tapes and listened to the likes of Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn and Sinead O’Conner’s Nothing Compares 2 U with a fist in the air and now it appears one of the 90s biggest acts is reuniting!
That’s right, two decades after Bachelor Girl ruled the airwaves with their pop track Buses and Trains – the band has reunited to release new single, Speak.
According to The Daily Telegraph, bandmates Tania Doko and James Roche, have secretly been working on a new track in Sweden where Doko has lived for the past seven years.
A nostalgic Doko told the news site: “I really missed performing live.”
“I’m always writing songs and I had done bits and pieces of touring here and there, but to do it with James, who really does know when I am going to breathe, made sense; we’re still so connected even though there has been years apart.”
The star also revealed in the past, she found music helped strengthen the bond between herself and her son.
“Singing to my son Leo, who is almost four, was enough for a few years but I started thinking I really need to get back out there, particularly as he started saying ‘shoosh, shoosh, mum.’
“Listen kid, people used to pay good money for this,” she said. Indeed we did!
