He walked into Australian Survivor as a chiselled hunk, but when David Genat exited the Ten reality show on Monday following a shock eviction, he was quite literally a shadow of his former self.
The 39-year-old model has admitted his gruelling time on the show saw him lose a staggering 11 kilograms from his muscular frame, and by his own admission, he was “like a skeleton” by the end of filming.

“I was like a skeleton, man. I’m only just starting to feel normal again,” he told the Daily Telegraph.
‘I’m throwing myself back into fitness so I can get back into work,’ he continued, revealing his personal trainer wife, Pearl has devised a nutritional plan to get him back in shape.
David made a name for himself as the show villain during his time on this season’s Australian Survivor – and the international model recently confessed that his game plan from the beginning had been to cause trouble.
Speaking to news.com.au, David admitted that he was “100 per cent” playing a character – a tactical move to lure the other contestants into thinking he was “just a pretty boy.”
“I’ve been acting for a number of years now, and I just really wanted to see if I could put all that stuff to the test and really use it as a way to play a role and do something,” he said.
“It’s not really part of my regular life to be lying and conniving, making moves on people and doing stuff like that. I really love the idea of playing a character where I got to do these things with impunity.”
