She quickly found herself in a love triangle between Davey Lloyd and Jake Ellis and tonight, Florence was forced to make a decision between Davey, Jake, and Brett. In a move that left Davey devastated, Flo decided to pick Jake to stay. Brett was also given the boot following an awkward situation where he was accused of lying about his relationship status. WHO chatted to Florence about the decision which saw two people leave Paradise.
WHO: How did you feel making the decision between who stays and who goes in tonight’s episode?
FLORENCE: It was a very tough decision. You know, it’s never fun if you know that you have to end two people’s experiences like that and especially to know if it’s someone that you really like because I had to choose between not only Davey and Jake but Brett as well. And with Brett, I was a little less emotionally involved, but it made it a tough decision between Davey and Jake considering that Davey was like a breath of fresh air, he was new, I didn’t have any history with him and then there’s Jake. I know him a lot better but there’s a little bit of a risk if it didn’t work out before.
WHO: Is it still better having this dilemma than someone else making the choices?
FLORENCE: Definitely! If you have the power, at least you know you will be waking up in paradise the next day and if someone else has the power, nothing is guaranteed.
WHO: With Brett, most of the girls were worried he wasn’t truthful when he said he was single and thus they wanted him out. Tara, of course, viewed him as a friend. Did the women talk often as a group about the decisions that would be made at the rose ceremony?
FLORENCE: No, we definitely talk about it, especially early on because you don’t know if there is anyone that you like, so we would all sit down and we’d all go, ‘OK, who do we definitely want to keep? Even though I wouldn’t be giving that person a rose, maybe someone else can.’ Because we just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be an unlucky coincidence that someone ends up going home whereas we would really love him to stay. We definitely tried to work out which ones we would keep.
