Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, 20-year-old Mia announced the end of the couple’s two-year relationship.
‘Daniel and I are no longer together, however we still love and care for each other very much and remain the best of friends,’ she wrote.
Daniel, who plays for Richmond Tigers, also confirmed the split on his own Instagram account.
‘Hey guys, I know everyone is wondering what’s going on with Mia and myself and I hate to say this but we are no longer together,’ he wrote.
‘But we both love each other and still remain close as best friends and hopefully you guys can respect that.’
Brendan also took to Instagram to share the news about his stepdaughter’s break-up, stating that Daniel would always be part of the Fevola family.
Speaking of her relationship previously, Mia told The Herald Sun that she didn’t see herself as a WAG, despite dating an AFL star.
‘I have not thought about it to be honest,’ she said.
‘We have only been together for just under two years so I probably would not consider myself that.’
Mia and Daniel sparked speculation of a split last month after the model removed a mention of Daniel from her Instagram bio.
The budding influencer is the oldest child of retired AFL star, Brendan’s partner, Alex.
Brendan adopted Mia as his own daughter after he married Alex in 2005. The couple also share daughters Leni, 12, Lulu, eight and baby Tobi.
