While there has been much speculation about which former reality TV star is set to take the role as this year’s rose-baring Bachelor, a completely left-field choice has been suggested by some of the Wallaby players who voted for Drew Mitchell.
Taking to their Twitter accounts teammates Adam Ashley-Cooper, Kurtley Beale, and Matt Giteau, believe it’s about time their 33-year-old mate found a lover to call his own.
“I thought to myself, I KNOW THE PERFECT BLOKE –> @drew_mitchell!!!!! Charming, handsome, good with kids, everyone’s 3rd wheel and will scrub your back if needed,” Ashely-Cooper sold his friend in a hilarious Tweet.
Giteau shared the Tweet and noted, “. @TheBachelorAU we have found your next bachelor!! @drew_mitchell.”
Meanwhile, Beale even showed off his handy photoshop skills by sharing a snap of Mitchell’s face attached to what would have been a promotional photo for Matty J’s season of The Bachelor!
But before we could get excited, Mitchell took to Twitter to confirm he might try out a few other options before making an appearance on the popular dating show.
“Thanks for looking out for me bro but I’ve got it sorted, I’m off to speed dating tonight 😂,” he wrote.
Ah, let’s hope he changes his mind!
