Sunrise host David Koch has responded to Married at First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis‘ claims that the Sunrise breakfast team “bullied” her.

The Daily Mail approached Koch outside the Sunrise studio today, asking if the TV host intended to apologise to Martha.
“Apologise to her?” Kochie exclaimed at first.
“Maybe I put myself in a dangerous position between her and a photographer and for that, I apologize,” the Sunrise host then added.
This comes after Kochie revealed to his Sunrise co-hosts that the MAFS star had elbowed him in the ribs as she tried to get photographed on the Logies red carpet on Sunday night.
“I’ve still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through on the red carpet!” Kochie said on Monday morning.
“The one with the dark hair? She was fierce,” agreed his co-host Natalie Barr.
“Someone is saying Martha in my ear? I could not pick her out of a lineup, but my god she got you in the ribs,” Sam Armytage added.
“Do not get between Martha and the camera,” Sunrise co-host Mark Beretta joked goodnaturedly.
“Especially when you’ve only got 15 minutes of fame!” Sam said.
The MAFS star uploaded an Instagram video on Tuesday evening trying to refute Kochie’s claims.
“I was excited about the Logies for weeks…what an amazing experience it was to be invited to walk the red carpet at the Logies. That all came crashing down this morning when I woke up to see @kochie_online and @sam_armytage from the Sunrise morning show ridicule and bully me on national television…Sam, you have single-handedly incited online hate towards me. Just when I had built myself back up after the tumultuous time on MAFS, you brought it all crashing down. Kochie, you are a father, yet you felt it necessary to shame me on TV. You felt it was OK to criticize me, call me short and turn what may have been an accidental bump on the arm into something scandalous. You’re the bullies,” Martha wrote in the caption.
On Tuesday’s Sunrise, Sam and Kochie showed that they didn’t let Martha’s YouTube video get to them.
While discussing the horror film It Chapter Two, Sam jokingly grabbed Kochie’s arm in an attempt to scare him.
Her co-host replied by saying, “Careful, that’s bullying me! I’m older. I’m an old man!”
“Don’t muck around with that word!” Sam laughed.
Martha is yet to comment.
