As Ed Sheeran’s Australian tour continues, concert-goers have been warned about heading to the shows with fake tickets.
ANZ Stadium, where Sheeran will perform three shows next week, have warned fans who may have purchased their tickets from re-sell sites including Viagogo and Gumtree that that they could be fake and will be turned away from the concert.
“Remember Ticketek is the ONLY authorised ticketing agent for this event,” a message on the ANZ website reads. “To ensure you don’t end up with invalid tickets, DO NOT buy them through any unauthorised re-sellers such as Viagogo, Ticketmaster Resale, Tickets, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia, Ticket Merchant, Ticket Blaster, Ticket Bis, Queenoftickets, etc.”
The warning comes after approximately 200 Perth fans were unfortunately rejected from the singer’s shows at the gates because their tickets did not scan at the turnstiles.
If you have purchased your tickets from an unauthorised website, the first thing you should do is contact the seller and try and find out where they got the ticket from.
If you are suspect that you have been scammed you can make a complaint through the website or contact your bank and ask them to take action.
