100,000 concert-goers will head to Sydney Olympic Park precinct over the next three days as Ed Sheeran kicks off the NSW leg of his Divide World Tour.
Sheeran will perform at ANZ Stadium on Thursday 15, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 March, coinciding with the Bruno Mars concert Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday and country singer Luke Bryan’s on Friday.
Due to the large crowd, NSW police have confirmed there will be high visibility operation taking place to ensure the safety and security of fans.
“We’ve been working closely with event organisers and other stakeholders to ensure everyone enjoys these high-profile music performances in Sydney,” Acting Assistant Commissioner Whyte said.
“Local officers will be out and about over the three nights, focusing on crowd behaviour as well as road and pedestrian safety.
Because parking at Sydney Olympic Park has been completely booked out, concert-goers are being encourages to leave their cars at home and take public transport.
The cost of transport, including trains, bus, light rail and Sydney ferries, are included in the price of your ticket but you will need to have your valid concert ticket on you on your way there and back.
ANZ Stadium are also warning fans to allow additional time for the security screening process when entering.
