Elyse Knowles has graced her fair share of magazine covers and advertising campaigns.
However, over the years the 26-year-old says she has turned down a number of jobs due to the demands they placed on her.
Opening up to WHO during her recent at-home shoot with partner Josh Barker, the Byron Bay local reveals all.
Do you still do all your adventure sports stuff?
Elyse: Yeah. Love it. I think we’ll fly back down to Melbourne and then go motorbike riding with the friends and family down there and I don’t want to miss out on those holidays because I was brought up doing them and I absolutely love it. Getting dirty.
Josh: That was a big thing for you, growing up on that life. When, some bigger contracts didn’t want you…
Elyse: Yeah. They didn’t want me to do the activities that I do. Even wakeboarding and skiing and motorbike riding. They said, “Nope, you can’t do it.” And I said, “well, I’m not signing your contract then because that’s my life and I will not change me for you.” So, I put my foot down. If I hurt myself then I can’t finish the job for them, but I’m not going to change who I am and the things I love for someone.
