Could Meghan Markle be coaxed out of maternity leave?
Quite possibly! And especially if it’s to join fellow royal Princess Eugenie in supporting a very worthy cause.
After Eugenie shared details about a special panel she had hosted as part of her Anti-Slavery Collective – a charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable women and children – royal fans were quick to suggest that she “team up with Meghan,” who also shares similar philanthropic values to her husband, Harry’s cousin.
Sharing pictures from the talk via Instagram, Eugenie wrote: “Look at all these amazing women!
“I, alongside my co-founder Jules, moderated a panel this week about how media channels can shine a light on Modern Day Slavery….It was fascinating learning from these incredibly talented women, all using their voices to shout from the rooftops about combating Modern Day Slavery. Thank you for sharing your journeys.”
Both Meghan and Eugenie have worked closely with the UN in the past. Last September Eugenie joined a UN mission to Serbia with the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, while Meghan gave a powerful speech about women’s rights at a UN women’s conference prior to meeting Prince Harry.
