Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick have joined forces to present a special performance of Cyndi Lauper’s anthem ‘True Colours’ at the Cannes Film Festival.
The haunting rendition of the classic 80’s power ballad was a preview of the musical duos collaboration for new film Trolls which is due to hit cinemas later this year. Have a listen here.
The nine-time Grammy winner is lending his vocal talents to the animated flick in the role of executive musical producer and also voicing the character of Branch, while Anna will voice ‘Poppy’.
Inspired by the childhood rainbow-haired toys, troll dolls, the Dreamworks project will feature the voices of James Corden, Zooey Deschanel and Mamma Mia’s Christine Baranski.

Meanwhile, Can’t Stop The Feeling, an original song for the film written by Timberlake was released on iTunes last week and is already being hailed as the feel good song of the year.
Justin’s enthusiasm for the project is infectious, telling the Hollywood Reporter, “I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event.
“This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all.”
