Snakes on a… house? The teams went snake crazy in tonight’s episode of House Rules. Before the teams started demolition on Kim and Michelle’s Tweed Heads home, host Johanna Griggs warned them about possible snake sightings. “Just a quick heads-up. This area is actually renowned for snakes, there’s been lots of sightings so I want you to be very careful if you’re out in the backyard and also if you’re up in the roof,” she said.
All of the teams were on high alert for the soft-bodied animals, which Toad decided to use to his advantage by placing a fake snake in a cupboard for Chiara to find. Chiara screamed and jumped back as she opened the cupboard but she soon realised that Toad was responsible for the toy. “Toadie got her,” Josh laughed. “Scared the crap out of her actually.”
But, the snake drama didn’t end there! While up in the rood, Dave found a real snake skin, which Toad taunted Jess and Chiara with. “If there’s another snake in this room… I’m not coping,” said Chiara. “Bye. I’m out.”
Meanwhile, Chiara and David put it all on the line when they decided to keep the bonus room. The couple, who are at the top of the leaderboard, made the decision to keep the kids playroom, taking their whole zone up to a total of four rooms. “We are just going to give it all and hopefully it pays off,” said Chiara. While the other teams are relieved at their decision, Chiara and David wonder if they’ve bitten off more than they can chew. “I think we are setting House Rules history for us to be able to complete four rooms,” said Chiara.
