Lisa Oldfield is known for her controversial statements and brutal honesty, and in an exclusive interview with WHO she tells us that she cannot wait to hit the jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. The reality star is so ready, she’s even premeditated a huge blow-up with Paul Burrell.
“Look, I probably won’t have a lot of time for Paul Burrell,” the 43-year-old Sydney sider laments in the lead-up to her flight over to South Africa.
“I think he’s a bit of an asshole really! I mean Princess Diana has been dead for 20 years and he’s still milking that poor dead lady for a dollar – for a story.”
Oldfield claims that the reason for her angst comes from Burrell’s consistent attempt to talk about his late friend Princess Diana.
“I feel sorry for Prince William and Harry who obviously held him in very high esteem growing up. Like I said, retelling all the old stories, it must be very hard for them picking up a newspaper and there’s Paul in the jungle rehashing stuff.”
However, the passion aside, Oldfield believes that she wishes Burrell would shine a light on his own story.
“And I think Paul’s own story is actually very interesting, you know I’d like to hear more about Paul. I think Paul himself is actually very brave –you know I’m a big supporter of the LGBTQ community – during the plebiscite I was very supportive of gay marriage. So I would like to hear him talk about what it was like being a gay man in a heterosexual marriage.”
“How brave he was, you know to come out an older man and marry his same-sex partner, that would be interesting – but instead he talks about Diana.
“I’d like to sit-down and bring it up nicely and if he doesn’t’ take the hint then tell him off for basically being an opportunist… at the sake of a dead mother.”
Well, we can certainly expect some drama one Lisa and her husband David enter the jungle on tonight’s episode!
