Real Housewives of Melbourne star Jackie Gillies officially welcomed twins with her husband Ben Gillies in October, after several rounds of IVF.
Taking to Instagram in October, the new mum-of-two shared the happy news with her followers, and uploaded a photo from the hospital of her two bundles of joy.
“They’re here,” Jackie announced. “OMG they are so cute. My heart is full.”
Though she announced the birth of her twins more than a month ago, Jackie was yet to reveal the gender of her babies or share their names with fans. This was due to the fact that her big gender reveal party would play out on-screen on Real Housewives of Melbourne.
And… it’s a boy! Two boys, actually. The twin’s gender reveal aired on RHOMelbourne on November 21, at a baby shower thrown in Jackie’s honour.
Her former co-star, Chyka Keebaugh, and current co-stars, Janet Roach and Simone Elliott, were among those to celebrate as blue confetti fell down all around them.
“Still makes me cry! What a blessing,” Jackie commented on the video shared by the RHOMelbourne Instagram account.
Adding on her own Instagram account, Jackie revealed she would be sharing the names of her twins now that the episode has aired. She’ll be telling her fans the names in tomorrow’s episode of her Shine It Up podcast.
Watch the heartwarming clip below (story continues after video).
Jackie first announced she was expecting twins in an Instagram post in May this year, sharing a photo of her cradling her baby bump.
“I’m having TWINS!” she captioned the post. “It has been a bumpy IVF journey but all worth it,” she wrote.
Jackie had been keeping fans updated on her IVF process, where she recently uploaded photos of her stomach post-egg retrieval.
“Check out my #IVF bloat,” she penned. “It looks like I’m pregnant.”
She joked that she couldn’t fit into any of her clothes, and urged her followers not to be “hard” on themselves.
“We’ve gotta keep it moving, keep a positive mindset and talk to your loved ones about your feelings. I’m sending you all so much love, hugs and shine.”
We don’t doubt that Jackie and Ben are absolutely taken with the new additions to their family, with the pair having previously spoken about how much they wanted to be parents.
“I do not want to miss out on the experience of being a mother,” Jackie previously told New Idea.
She also revealed that she came to the realisation that she wanted to be a mother after her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018.
“I wanted to be able to give my child everything they deserve. I thought, ‘Am I going to be good enough?’ But no mother is perfect.”
