We all know how the old kids’ song goes: first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… well, you know. A baby in a carriage – and for Aussie stars James (Jimmy) Stewart and Sarah Roberts, that’s the next item on the to-do list!

Four months on from their August wedding, Home and Away actors Jimmy and Sarah caught up with WHO on the AACTAs red carpet to talk married life and their family plans.

Asked if they were still on that newlywed high, the pair agreed things were as great as ever since tying the knot.

“It doesn’t feel like we’ve gone higher, we’ve just got tighter,” shared Jimmy.

“We’re more solid together,” agreed Sarah – who was also celebrating her birthday at the event!

“I’ve had a whole birthday week!” she spilled.

“Jimmy spoiled me rotten. He threw me a surprise party and then I went to Melbourne yesterday and hung out with my mum and my sister.”

Of course, with the nuptials behind them, the question on everybody’s lips is: are babies next?

“My stock answer to that is we’ll see,” Jimmy laughed. “If it comes it comes.”

“There’s no rush,” Sarah added.

“We just have to enjoy life and everything it throws our way.”

And, of course, the pair have their hands full with Jimmy’s daughter Scout (from his relationship with Jessica Marais), who – at seven years old – sounds like quite a handful!

“She’s at home with the babysitter tonight,” James told WHO while at the AACTAs at Sydney’s The Star.

“She’s probably raiding the freezer, getting all the Paddlepops, [saying] ‘Daddy said I was allowed to have four!'”

Not surprisingly, Scout played a very special role in Sarah and Jimmy’s wedding in August, fulfilling the very important role of flower girl for her dad and now stepmum.

Choosing Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland as the special spot for their nuptials, the couple lived out their fairytale dream.

“I wanted it to be a celebration of love and the important thing for us is for our families to come together and for us all to be together and everyone to just have an enjoyable time,” Sarah shared with WHO shortly after the wedding,

“We could have easily gotten married under a tree by some water or on a property up in the hills; anywhere! But this has been magic,” added James.
