Congratulations are in order for Jesse McCartney! The former teen heartthrob has announced he is engaged to girlfriend of seven years, Katie Peterson.
The American singer and songwriter revealed the happy news via Instagram, sharing a loved-up snap of the happy couple.

“Locked it up,” he captioned the picture.
“Katie McCartney has a nice 💍 to it,” the ‘She’s No You’ singer wrote in an additional post.
A source told PEOPLE that the couple was dining with friends at CUT by Wolfgang Puck at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Los Angeles on Friday when the “Beautiful Soul” singer proposed.
“The couple was with a group of friends as McCartney got down on one knee,” the source said.
“The whole restaurant fell silent as he asked her to marry him and went into a loud applause and cheered when she said yes!”
The source added, “Chef Wolfgang Puck himself was also at the restaurant making his rounds when it happened. The couple celebrated with drinks as the night went on.”
Jesse first found fame in the early 2000’s, following a brief stint in the boyband Dream Street.
In 2004, as well as releasing his debut solo song, the crooner also recorded a duet with Anne Hathaway for the Ella Enchanted soundtrack.
Before branching out into music, Jesse was best known as an actor, securing parts in All My Children, Miley Cyrus’ show Hannah Montana and short-lived soap Summerland.
