Kanye West’s marriage to Kim Kardashian is over, and he’s already moved on! In fact, sparks are flying between the rapper and Russian supermodel Irina Shayk.
News of the rebound romance was first broken by Deuxmoi and TMZ while the Daily Mail shared photos of Kanye, 44, and Irina, 35, together in France.
A source revealed to WHO‘s sister publication PEOPLE that they stayed three nights at Villa La Coste.
“They have known each other professionally for years. He started pursuing her a few weeks ago. Kanye is a persuasive guy,” the source spilled. “He hung out with her in NYC before they celebrated his birthday in France.”
“She seems smitten. He invited her to France and she happily accepted,” they added.
“They are not officially dating, but there is an interest from both sides.”
According to PEOPLE, Kanye and Irina met “a while back” when they crossed paths in the fashion industry.
Irina has modelled for Kanye’s line Yeezy and also appeared in the music video for his 2010 hit Power.
Kanye even dropped her name in his song Christian Dior Denim Flow with the lyric “I wanna see Irina Shayk next to Doutzen”.
Irina has previously dated footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and was in a relationship with actor Bradley Cooper from 2015 until 2019. She and Bradley also share four-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine.
However, it seems that Kanye’s ex wife still holds him close in her heart.
In honour of his recent birthday, Kim, 40, shared a throwback photo of herself, Kanye and three of their four kids.
“Happy Birthday Love U for Life!” she simply penned in the caption.
Fans couldn’t help but mourn the end of Kim and Kanye’s seven-year marriage in the comments.
“Bring kimye back!!!!!” one wrote.
“This made me so sad,” another penned.
Kim and Kanye tied the knot in Italy in May 2014, and share four children – North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.
Though the mum-of-four and reality TV star may still love her ex, Kim has been “figuring out her new life as a single woman” since the split and focusing on the next phase of her life.
“With Kanye, she was often on his schedule,” a source told PEOPLE. “Now she is able to do whatever makes her happy.”
“Lately, she really enjoys girls’ nights. She has a big group of friends that are great support.”
