It’s been a busy week for mum-of-three Kate Middleton
Just days after donning her most dazzling tiara for a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in honour of President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, the Duchess of Cambridge was out in public again, this time attending the Household Division’s Beating Retreat at St James’ Park in London.
Watch below to see the Duchess of Cambridge take the salute at the Household Division’s Beating Retreat:
The event – which helps the British royal family herald the Queen Elizabeth’s official birthday celebrations on Saturday – is held every year ahead of the annual Trooping the Colour Parade (which will take place this year on June 8) and is celebrated with a military parade with some 750 soldiers and a dazzling fireworks display.
This year, 37-year-old Kate even participated in the ceremony by taking this salute, this means that the Duchess of Cambridge acknowledged the salute given by the troops.
Wearing a smart cream coat by one of her favourite designers, Catherine Walker & Co, the royal accessorised the look with her Irish Guards gold shamrock brooch.
While Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis weren’t in attendance, the Duke of Cambridge did accompany Kate to the state banquet at Buckingham Palace on Monday.
The Duchess marked the occasion by pairing her Alexander McQueen gown and Lover’s Knot tiara with her royal order sash – the first time she has been seen wearing the garment since being appointed a member of the Royal Victorian order.
