Radio shock-jock Kyle Sandilands has opened up about the gut-wrenching moment when he walked in on his ex-girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend.
Despite currently enjoying a happy relationship with model Imogen Anthony (his partner of eight years), the 48-year-old has surprisingly had his fair share of heartbreak.
While the infidelity happened more than 20 years ago, Kyle is still affected by it.
On The Kyle and Jackie O Show yesterday, Kyle recalled the low point to his listeners, claiming that he was so angry upon discovering them that he “picked up the bottom of the bed and threw it up in the air.”

“[My ex-girlfriend] was staying at my best mate’s place because, apparently, she was friends with his sister,” Kyle said, describing how his ex-girlfriend tried to pull the wool over his eyes.
“That ended up being bulls**t!”
Not one to be easily fooled, Kyle said that he paid a visit to his friend’s house after feeling suspicious of the living arrangement.
The radio host remembered the moment like it was yesterday, vividly recalling how he could hear Rick Astley’s hit single “Never Gonna Give You Up” blasting from his friend’s bedroom.
When Kyle opened the door, what he saw left him in complete shock.
“I was shocked,” he told co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson – who split from her husband of 18 years, Lee Henderson last year.
“I saw her little face over his shoulder and I just cut sick.”
“I picked up the bottom of the bed, threw it up in the air against the wall, and they both slammed against the wall and fell down and then I ran away crying,” Kyle continued.
“And you listened to Mariah Carey, no doubt, after that?” asked Jackie.
“I did… Love Takes Time, over and over and over and I cried until I had no liquid in me,” he responded.
Kyle and his current girlfriend, Imogen, were recently rumoured to be on the rocks.
An insider close to the couple told New Idea they have been “living separate lives” for months.
“They have been living separate lives for a while and were ready to tell everyone it was over when all this drama started,” the source told the publication.
Kyle’s co-host of 14 years, Jackie O, hasn’t been having much luck in love either.
In an interview with guest Karl Stefanovic from earlier this month, the radio star admitted that she hasn’t slept with another man since splitting with Lee Henderson.
“You know no one’s made love to Jackie for — how long’s it been? — since you and your husband split,” Kyle said, probing her to open up about her dry spell.
“It’s been about a year. I haven’t even begun to see anyone. It’s hard, you know?” the mum-of-one replied.
“Whoever gets their hands on Jackie, they’re in for one hell of a night- she’s stinging for it!” Kyle joked, offering to help her find an eligible bachelor.
Although both men offered to help the host find an eligible bachelor, she waved them off, admitting she’s not quite ready to move on.
“To be honest, I don’t actually care [about sex and dating] right now. I’m not there yet. I’m really happy with what I’m doing now.”
