Kyle Sandilands’ opened up about his friendship with John Ibrahim on KISS FM this morning.
The radio presenter dished on the personal call he received from John, asking him for surprising favour.

“John Ibrahim actually called me last night,” Kyle told his co-host, Jackie O.
Kyle said that while he missed the nightclub owner’s call, he received a text message from him with a special request.
The 48-year-old then proceeded to read the message out loud, which said:
“Bro, I heard you can hook me up. You got the contacts for Coles collectibles?”
Kyle also mentioned that the 48-year-old had sent him a photo of his daughter pointing at her own Coles collectibles, with a sad face.
The radio personality said he was more than happy to supply the goods, writing back, “I’ve got your back, I’ve got you covered.”
Kyle then joked that the messages could easily be misconstrued for something else.
“Just let the federal police know, if you’re intercepting our phones still, this is not a code for anything,” he said.
The KISS FM host reiterated that the collectibles did not contain anything illegal in them.
“I do not want you going down raiding John’s house, sawing up the little collectibles. There’s nothing in them!” Kyle added.
Kyle admitted that the situation seemed ridiculous at face value.
“As if John Ibrahim would be talking to Kyle Sandilands about Coles mini shops!”
In 2017, John opened up about their surprising friendship in his book, Last King of the Cross, explaining that they had similar beginnings.
“A lot of people don’t know that Kyle grew up rough, where good role models weren’t common. We didn’t have a lot of success stories living around us.”
Now, the underworld figure has him on call, for whenever he needs a fresh supply of Coles collectibles.
