Lisa Oldfield is a seasoned reality TV star, from Real Housewives Of Sydney to now appearing on Channel Ten’s hit show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, but even before the cameras were rolling in the jungle, the 43-year-old shared some intimate details about her marriage with WHO exclusively.

You’re about to head onto a flight to South Africa, but how’s the state of your marriage at the moment?

I think David and I do pretty well – we fight like cats and dogs, you know we always have since he put a ring on my finger, that’s our dynamic.

I dare you to find a couple more in tune with one another, too. We highly reactive, we are highly volatile but there is a lot of love there. And I am his greatest attracter as he is of me, but I am also his biggest offender. So we have ten blow-ups today but then 10 minutes later he gave me a hug and a kiss.

Will this experience bring you closer?

I actually think it has the potential to bring us together because a lot of the distractions are removed, you know ‘I won’t be going into the office every day, I won’t be coming home stressed because I’ve sat in two peak hours of traffic.  You know we won’t have the dramas of the children, and that’s not to say the children are a problem, even our beloved animals – we have a menagerie of nearly 20 animals, so most of the time we don’t get the chance sit down and talk. And I hope it’s meaningful, David talks shit a lot of the time he can talk to fill space. It’s because he doesn’t like the sound silence and he doesn’t get enough time to chat with me. Like I realize it’s him trying to start a conversation. But you know we’ve got the time on the plane together we’ll spend time in the jungle. I’m actually looking forward to spending time with him.

Will you have sex in the jungle?

No, God no! Can you imagine? I mean it’s nothing against David. I’ll put it to you this way; David and I did not consummate our marriage because there was a frog in the room on our wedding night. He actually said, “Sorry I have stage fright because there is a frog and it could be watching us. And he didn’t want to traumatize the frog. And it wasn’t until he found the frog the next day and he put it outside, that he could do the deed.

Can you imagine a million eyes watching, I’m not saying the viewers – he loves animals so much that he wouldn’t want to distress him.

Meanwhile, we asked David a few questions and his answers were just as entertaining.

How is the current state of your marriage?

It’s better than it was, but you know, like prior to World War II, the relationship between Poland and Germany was better than it was at the beginning of World War II so the fact that it is better than it was now is nice, but who knows where it might go, it really is a moveable feast, it’s a rollercoaster ride it’s a work in progress- I think I’ve used enough of those.

Is this going to be a make or break situation? Will it bring you closer together, or will we expect to see some fights?

Well, it wouldn’t be the two of us if you didn’t see some fights. Our intention is to just be ourselves, now often our being ourselves is too much for some people, I would expect that we will have fights – I don’t think it will make any difference either way to our marriage. It’s something that we are doing, we’re doing it because we do like to actually do media type things together, this is an opportunity for us to actually do a show together which is longer than what it was previously when we had done say, Housewives, where we didn’t feature terribly much together so it’s a good dynamic for us and it’s going to be a lot of fun where we are concerned, there will be arguments otherwise it wouldn’t be us.

Will you and Lisa sneak off for some private time?

Oh no, no, we’ve joined the 5-mile-high club, I don’t know why we can’t just join the campsite club now.

Fair point! Are you excited to see the drama unfold? Let us know on Facebook.
