We don’t know about you, but we’re counting down the days until the next series of Love Island Australia (Monday, October 7, FYI).

And although Channel Nine has revealed the genetically blessed contestants taking part in this year’s show, (hello, Gerard!) it appears the reality series hasn’t found enough singles to participate in the show.

Two days ago, Nine revealed they were still looking for contestants to take part in the 2019 season of the show.

“If you’ve seen the Season 2 Islanders and already have your eye on someone then it’s the perfect time to apply — there could be a spot in the Villa that only you can fill,” read the call out.

“If you are sexy, young and single, aged 18-35, and are warm, honest, open and truly looking for love, then follow the link to apply for Love Island Australia,” it continued.

The news follows Love Island host, Sophie Monk’s recent revelation that this season will be the most explosive yet.

“I am very excited, this season is going to be insane,” the 39-year-old told WHO.

“There will be a few surprises where a couple might be getting comfortable and they’ll be tested to see if they last. It sounds harsh, but it’s just like real life.”

“From their occupation to their ethnicity and religion, they’re so diverse. It is a really good thing. We have IQ’s that are all over the place. I think there’s also a lot of drama because they are putting different types of people with different morals in there. It’ll be different and very dramatic.”
