“Someone funny… someone being silly is really important to me. I’m a bit of a wild child so someone who doesn’t want to try and control me, as soon as someone tries to control me that’s me out. Appearance wise, obviously tall dark and handsome with tattoos and a big butt. I don’t know why I like big butts [laughs] and just like a tradie, rugby players… just a man’s man.”

Why she applied for Love Island:

“I haven’t had much luck with dating and with guys at the moment so I thought If I apply for Love Island I’d actually have a better chance because my main thing is running away from people, as soon as the going gets tough and there’s always the next hot thing around the corner, you know and in Love Island you’re there and you have to learn to work through something with someone and I really need to do that and I do want to find a genuine connection with someone.”

What she’s looking for in an ideal partner:

“I definitely like the outdoorsy, rough around the edges types. I love like a tradie or a surfer. Maybe long hair, a little pony tail and tattoos, but just athletic and tall and as long as they’ve got a great personality and can make me laugh I don’t really care.”

Why she applied for Love Island:

“I had a new year’s resolution that I would stop saying no to opportunities. Not necessarily saying yes to everything, but acknowledging opportunities more and I can’t remember if it was at the end of last year or at the start of the year, but I got an email reminder to send through my tape auditions for Love Island and I thought I may as well. I was going through a bit of a dry spell and my love life was pretty bleak.”

What he’s looking for in an ideal partner:

I want a good-looking girl but in saying that I want a girl who’s got a strong personality. She ought to be fun. She ought to have good banter, not be too sensitive, not too serious, but, you gotta have a bit of sex appeal. Then you gotta have the personality to back that up.

What he’s looking for in an ideal partner:

I want like a nice, a beautiful sort of girl. Good body, dark hair, tanned. Someone who’s very genuine. I like a genuine sort of girl so down to earth. I just want someone who’s just genuine and just nice really.

Why he applied for Love Island:

I did the promo for this show, so I sort of got a first-hand experience of what it was going to be like from there and I haven’t had a girlfriend for over two years now or coming on two years. So I thought this opportunity come out nowhere and I’m taking it up. So I thought it would be a great place to find love on Love Island.

So he has to be extremely funny, that’s a huge thing. Like I mean, it’s the number one thing. I also have to be able to fart in front of him, and he should be able to fart in front of me. But he has to do it first so then I don’t feel awkward. And, what else? Just really nice manners. And then obviously, good looking, because I don’t want to date someone ugly.

Why she applied for Love Island:

Because I need professional help to find love. That’s why.

What she’s looking for in an ideal partner:

My ideal partner is … I tend to go for blonde, blue eyes, but we’ll see. Who knows. I go for somebody with confidence but not overly cocky. Someone that can hold a conversation and be true to who they are. I am quite loud and silly, so I want someone to bring that side of me out rather than kind of push that down.

Why she applied for Love Island:

The reason for me applying for this series is because I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with love. So I kind of look at this as an adventure, but a way of opening back up to finding a potential partner in an environment that is surrounded by people that are like minded and also hopefully wanting to find love too.

JUSTIN

International model Justin says that he never dates as he’s afraid of rejection. The 27-year-old from Melbourne is hoping to find ‘The One’ that he can plan a future with.

What he’s looking for in an ideal partner:

Somebody who can understand me and get my sense of humor and my stupidity but also someone who is adventurous and likes to travel and is open to moving around a lot and taking risks in life. Someone who is confident in themselves and quite independent, but also does need me to be by their side.

The title’s so catchy – Love Island – and I’m looking for love so, why not?

What he’s looking for in an ideal partner:

I’m looking for someone who can have a laugh, someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Someone with a bit of substance to them. Obviously they have to be beautiful as well. I think attraction is a big thing for me. Someone who’s got something… They’re not just all looks, they’ve got a bit more to them. It’s not going to work if they’re just sitting there boring.

Why he applied for Love Island:

So what made me apply for Love Island was, I was actually going for a walk in Centennial Park, and I downloaded a podcast and in the podcast it had an advertisement for Love Island and I thought it’s fate. It has to be. It said if you’re single, if you’re young, you’re sexy, then apply for Love Island and I thought this is a sign I have to do it so I went home and applied straight away.

What she’s looking for in an ideal partner:

So with my ideal partner I’m not necessarily going for how somebody looks. I want to meet someone who’s loyal to start off with and you know, like really, really wants me and thinks the world of me and puts me on a pedestal. Someone who’s generous and just really kind, a gorgeous person. Someone with goals and aspirations and they have accomplished those goals. So they’re not all talk. And yeah, and then I’ll just say I want to have that spark, that chemistry. I think it’s really, really important and really hard to come by. Somebody you have that spark and chemistry with.

Why she applied for Love Island:

I got scouted. Yeah, they messaged me on Instagram and asked me to apply. So yeah, I did. I sent a video and I got through and they called me up for my birthday and said that I was in. Pretty exciting!

What he’s looking for in an ideal partner:

My ideal partner would be someone who’s into their fitness, into their health, loves adventures, loves the outdoors. Someone who’s not too demanding, you know someone who’s not going to bark your head off. Someone with a great smile, a good sense of humor and just someone who’s really easy going.

Why he applied for Love Island:

I’ve always loved reality TV, I always watched Big Brother, watched the Bachelorette, the Bachelor, and I’ve always thought, “What would it be like to be on a show like that?” I thought if there was an opportunity for me to come up later on down the track, then I’d probably be up for it and I applied for it. Also, I love television stuff. I do part-time acting and stuff as well, so being in front of the camera is something I love doing. I do modeling as well, so it was something of interest and I thought if something did come on later on in the track I’d give it a crack, and I applied for it, and funnily enough, I was on the short list and here I am. It was just, wow! An opportunity like this I just couldn’t miss it.
