On Wednesday, Luke Perry reportedly suffered a stroke.

He is currently in hospital.

According to TMZ, paramedics responded to the Riverdale star’s home in Sherman Oaks, California at around 9:40 a.m.

The call reportedly came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke and Perry was transported to a nearby hospital.

TMZ reports that his condition is currently unclear.

A rep for the actor told PEOPLE, “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.” PEOPLE has also reached out to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Blast obtained audio of an emergency dispatch call giving the actor’s address and saying he had a stroke.

Perry, 52, stars as Archie’s (KJ Apa) dad, Fred Andrews, on the CW show.
According to TMZ, he had been shooting episodes recently in L.A. on the Warner Bros. lot. (Riverdale‘s main set is in Vancouver, Canada.)
This week, Fox announced a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot, the show which shot Perry to fame as Dylan McKay in the 1990s.
His original costars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering have all signed on to the new project, Perry did not.
