The Married At First Sight groom has revealed that he and TV wife Stacey Hampton have consummated their marriage!
“Yeah, we slept together,” he said when asked whether or not they had done the deed on their Fijian honeymoon, having a little giggle afterwards.
To be fair, though, it’s not like his 26-year-old ‘wife’ was trying to keep it on the down-low.
In fact, the happy couple were more than willing to discuss their night of passion the next morning!
“It’s just so un-awkward, this morning after last night,” 28-year-old Michael said sleepily as he and Stace lay in bed together.
“It feels so real; it was gorgeous.”
“It was lovely,” Stacey laughed, with Michael adding:
“It was fun!”
To be honest, we really didn’t see this coming, after the couple kicked off their tropical getaway with an explosive fight. But after opening up to Michael the previous day about the tragic loss of her father and brother, Stacey revealed that a closeness had begun to grow between the pair.
“The fact that I was able to be vulnerable about my past with him… I felt like I was ready to be vulnerable and establish a physical connection,” she explained.
“I felt like it was the right timing, too. Just because, after everything we’ve gone through, I opened up a bit, we had the argument, I felt like that brought us closer, we got through that… so I felt like it was good timing.”
“I’m really starting to see this other side, a softer side,” she had shared the previous day.
“It shows that he’s loving and caring. I feel a lot more comfortable now getting more intimate with him.”
Not surprisingly, Michael was pretty chuffed with the turnaround.
“Those sexperts just got it right,” he quipped of the team who matched the couple.
“I owe John [Aitken, relationship expert] a massive cuddle when I see him.”
The law graduate let her walls come down at their picnic.
“I try not to feel emotion, to show emotion,” she admitted, after the pair’s holiday had gotten off to a very rocky start.
“There’s a reason I’m like that. My dad… he actually killed himself.”
“That’s obviously why I’m quite reserved,” she continued. “I haven’t been around that, I haven’t seen my mum and my dad lovey dovey, so I don’t know what it’s like to show that love and affection. It’s really hard.”
The blonde beauty also told Michael about the loss of her beloved brother four years ago.
“What you went through, I couldn’t even bear to comprehend that,” said Michael solemnly.
“If your father and your brother were here they’d be so proud of that person you have been.”
