We’re barely two commitment ceremonies in and already the Married At First Sight couples are dropping like flies!

Mikey Pembroke is the latest lab rat participant to write ‘leave’ during the commitment ceremony, after a cold war with wife Natasha Spencer broke out into an explosive yelling match on the couch on Sunday night.
The trouble for the pair kicked off after Natasha made a joke about Mikey’s sexual performance to fellow couple Michael Goonan and Stacey Hampton at Wednesday’s dinner party, prompting Mikey to storm out of the soiree when word got back to him of what Natasha had said.
The next day, he was done like a chicken dinner.
After spending the night in separate rooms, Mikey admitted he was “shellshocked” and “really angry” to learn that his wife had referred to him as “10-second Mikey”.
“This week I’ve tried a lot of things to make her happy,” he raged.
“I threw myself into the intimacy, I threw myself into the consummation, I opened up my heart and said I‘m really going to go at this – and I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face.”
And fair enough, too. Even as a joke, it’s not what you want to know your partner’s saying behind your back…
“It’s the fact that she’s gone into intricate details about those things to people that are obviously not in our relationship,” Mikey explained, adding that, while his wife can be good and kind, “her behaviour keeps undoing all of the work that we do”.
After Mikey refused to broach the issue with Natasha privately, the pair were super frosty as they sat on the couch at this season’s second commitment ceremony.
“It was too much for me,” he explained, after Natasha had relayed to the panel of relationship experts what had transpired the night before.
“We came to the dinner party, I sat at the end of the table, and two people came to me – this is what set me off – [and said] ‘We know about your, um, situation.’
“You hear it from another couple that I’m not that close with was total disrespect.”
While things had been fairly calm up until that point, all hell broke loose when Natasha interrupted.
“It was actually Mikey’s joke that we’ve made to ourselves…” she began, prompting a yelling match between the pair.
While the experts managed to eventually diffuse the fiery fight that just kept escalating between them, this is clearly a massive sore point for Mikey (side note: why is he SO cut about it? If it’s not true… just laugh it off?).
So sore, in fact, that he was ready to walk away, revealing he’d chosen to leave the experiment.
However, he’ll have to stick it out another week, after his hopeful bride chose to ‘stay’ – putting the pair in a seriously uncomfortable position.
Awkward!
Since filming for the hit reality series finished, Mikey has gone on to claim he “wasn’t attracted” to his wife and intentionally faked a leg cramp to quit getting down and dirty!
“We boned twice,” he said while on KIIS FM’s The Kyle And Jackie O Show.
“The first was where I lasted 10 seconds and the second time was when I pulled the leg cramp excuse and that was it,” said Mikey, who was left red-faced after his TV wife told their co-stars his performance in the bedroom had been very short-lived.
“I wasn’t completely off her but she’s not someone I would ever go for… I’m not attracted to Natasha.”
But Natasha says this couldn’t be further from the truth.
“The excuses that men come up with these days… Look, Mikey did actually have a cramp and he was nearly crying while asking me to rub it out. So if that as fake, he deserves an Oscar,” she told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O after his reveal.
“And I mean, if the sex was that bad, I doubt he’d come back for more! So I do think the cramp was real. I just think his ego was bruised.
“The third time was also good because it was make-up sex.”
