In a newly resurfaced video, Married At First Sight lesbian bride, Amanda Micallef sensationally confessed to originally quitting the show to reunite with her ex-girlfriend.

The clip, which is from July 2019, shows the personal trainer telling her Instagram followers that MAFS producers were “gutted” when she initially withdrew her application in a last-ditch effort to save her relationship with her ex.
‘I decided to give it another crack,’ said Amanda of her relationship with her ex-girlfriend.
‘I actually did get in, I got accepted very early on, but I withdrew my application cause I’ve decided to work things out with my ex and give it another crack,’
‘The producer was a little gutted as they loved my application, they loved me… they decided pretty early on in the process that they wanted me and that was flattering and shattering at the same time,” she continued.
‘But I have a lot of supportive people around me that have basically said, “if you love this girl, go for it, make it work.” The show is always going to be there if it doesn’t work out.’
Earlier this week, MAFS fans watched as Amanda hinted during her wedding vows to Tash Herz that she had made a “mistake” in the past.
‘I was at a crossroads of making it work with her, or choosing the experiment. I thought if I went back to [my ex], I’d go back to what I knew. I wouldn’t have been happy going back to that relationship long-term,” Amanda confessed when prompted to explain her words.
‘Or if I did this, I could meet an equal and be happy. Know from the bottom of my heart, I will look after [Tash]. If someone tries to hurt her, they better run.’
On Wednesday, Who exclusively revealed that Amanda and Tash’s short-lived relationship had ended and Tash had already moved on.
