With plenty of major movie blockbusters under her belt, Margot Robbie has every right to be smug. But, of course, she’s not – in fact, she’s one of the most down-to-earth stars in Hollywood, and with serious acting chops to boot.

WATCH: We can’t wait for what Margot’s delivering in 2020…

And now, in a never-before-seen move, the Aussie actress has scored the honour of becoming the first ever double nominee in the Best Supporting Actress category at the AACTA International Awards!

Aside from the fact that more entries equals more chances to win (yay!), the double nom is testament to just how damn hard the Queensland-born 29-year-old has been working of late. Scoring the AACTA nominations for her roles in both Bombshell and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, the Hollywood heavyweight also nabbed herself a shot at taking home a Golden Globe next year.

Receiving another nod for her work in Bombshell – a movie based on true events that led to the downfall of Fox News’ CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes in 2016 – Margot’s in the running for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture at the 2020 Globes.

The homegrown star expressed her gratitude on Twitter, writing:

“It’s an honour to be nominated for a film that I’m so proud to be a part of @bombshellmovie. I’m so grateful to the HFPA [Hollywood Foreign Press Association].”

She also shouted out to her co-star Charlize Theron, who scored a nomination in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama category.

But while the accolades are rolling in thick and fast, Margot is still the same gal from the Gold Coast she’s always been.

Chatting exclusively to WHO in August, the star spoke candidly about the importance of friends and family outside of Hollywood.

“The best thing I have in my life is my friendships. I could talk for hours about my friendships,” she said.

She also recently revealed that she hates being called a ‘bombshell’.

“I feel like a brat saying that because there are worse things, but I’m not a bombshell,” she told US Vogue in June. “I’m not someone who walks in a room and the record stops and people turn like, ‘Look at that woman.'”

“That doesn’t happen. People who know me, if they had to sum me up in one word I don’t know what that word would be, but I’m certain it would not be ‘bombshell.'”
