“I hate that word. I hate it—so much.”
This is Margot Robbie talking about the one word she absolutely despises people calling her…and what that word is exactly may surprise you.
Watch below to see what else Margot Robbie is sick of hearing…
The 28-year-old Australian actress spoke to US Vogue for its July issue cover story and admitted she dislikes being labelled a “bombshell.”
“I feel like a brat saying that because there are worse things, but I’m not a bombshell. I’m not someone who walks in a room and the record stops and people turn like, ‘Look at that woman,’ the I, Tonya star continued.
“That doesn’t happen. People who know me, if they had to sum me up in one word I don’t know what that word would be, but I’m certain it would not be bombshell,” added the Oscar nominee.
Despite her hatred of the word, Margot’s beauty is undeniable.
The Aussie native first burst onto our screens in Neighbours, before quickly making waves in Hollywood.
Her current flick, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood sees her star alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio whilst taking on the role of the late American model, Sharon Tate.
In a 2016, a Vanity Fair article focusing on the actress’s physical attributes was widely viewed as grossly sexist.
“She is 26 and beautiful, not in that otherworldly, catwalk way but in a minor knock-around key, a blue mood, a slow dance,” author Rich Cohen wrote at the time. “She is blonde but dark at the roots. She is tall but only with the help of certain shoes… She can be sexy and composed even while naked but only in character.”
Discussing the article with Carrie Bickmore on The Project, Margot remarked: “I remember doing the interview, and being like, ‘That one was an odd one, a really odd interview, I don’t know how that’s going to come out,'” the Suicide Squad actress said.
“Then I read it and I was like, ‘Yeah, the tone of this is really weird, I don’t really know what he’s trying to get at or play at’ — but I didn’t expect it’d be like an uproar about it, at all.
A much more suitable way to describe Margot would be as Nicole Kidman did in the Vogue piece – labelling her fellow Antipodean a “powerhouse.
As well as Quentin Tarantino directed Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, the talented actress is starring in upcoming film Birds of Prey and also has her own production company, Luckychap founded with husband Tom Ackerly, friend Sophia Kerr and director Josey McNamara.
