At 38, Melissa Lucarelli knows she’s in a race against time to meet someone she can start a family with and is hoping to find him on Married At First Sight this year. Here’s everything you need to know about Melissa.

Coming from an Italian background, Melissa’s mum and sister have been her rocks in life, but her dad simply doesn’t understand why his hard-working daughter hasn’t found herself a lovely husband to have kids with.
Aware she’s approaching 40, the Sydney based talent manager says she’s “allergic” to ageing. If there’s something she can do or try to prevent her from getting old, she’ll do it.
Insecure about her looks, Melissa even goes as far to say, “I know I’m not the kind of girl who stops traffic unless I throw myself in front of it”.
Unapologetically herself, Melissa reveals men are often put off by her quirky personality and sense of humour.
Being set-up with a stranger by the show’s professionals has been a last resort. She gave up searching for Mr. Right after an ex-partner left her broken.
So, eight years ago, Melissa vowed to not have sex again until she meets “the one”.
