…they’ve called off their wedding!

The reality TV stars made the shock announcement yesterday. However, thankfully, there’s no need to get out the tissues just yet. The couple have revealed that they’re still very much in love, but the wedding is just on hold for a little longer as planning the wedding so quickly had been “too much, too soon.”

While Jules and Cam originally had their hearts set on tying the knot on the one-year anniversary of meeting on the Nine reality show, a jam-packed year made them revaluate and come to the conclusion that just “wasn’t going to happen.”

“It was a romantic gesture and we booked a venue on that and ended up losing our $5,000 deposit but I just thought—yeah that’s not going to happen anymore,” Jules told Yahoo Lifestyle.

Jules also confessed she would love to hit her goal weight before walking down the aisle – having recently partnered with Weight Watchers.

“I’d like to hit my goal and then a little bit more,” she said.
“I’ve put on 10 kilograms since I got ‘married’ to Cam and I’ve only just started saying it out loud and it’s getting much more comfortable.”
The couple further explained their motivations for putting their wedding on hold during an appearance on Today this morning.

“Yes, we were, we had this great idea to get married on the one-year anniversary, and it was just a lovely, romantic gesture,” Jules said, when questioned by Be Fordham about the wedding.

“But so much has been happening and going on, and I wanted to enjoy the process of organising the wedding, so that’s the only reason why it’s been postponed.”

“It’s purely just because of that!” she said. “Just wanted to organise the wedding and do it with enjoyment and not being stressed out by the whole process.”

Jules also took to Instagram following the couple’s TV appearance to further explain their decision.

“For the record we did cancel our wedding this month. For one reason only.. It was too much too soon and I wanted to be a bride that enjoys the process of planning a wedding, and not be one that moans about it!” she wrote.
