Married At First Sight Australia’s Lauren and Matt both left the show in a huff of smoke.
Loz was the first to break her silence on what really happened, Matt has decided he needs his side to be heard.
And the truth is absolutely shocking.
He alleges his ex has been “abusive”, but the former virgin is still all smiles because he has found love… With his new girlfriend pictured below!
Dropping by Fitzy and Wippa’s radio show, the videographer left nothing off the table when talking about his MAFS experience.
Matt addressed confiding in the boys about no longer like Lauren.
“It wasn’t the right thing to come out. I’ve not been in that position before. I just said it.”
As for losing the spark, he said, “The more time we spent together – the more true colours I saw. People didn’t see it.”
“There were a lot of factors. I can’t say.”
Of course, the biggest cinchier was Lauren’s sexuality.
“When we go into the show if anything notable happens off camera we have to redo that conversation. I’m not going to put words in her mouth but what she said on camera about threesomes was a lot cleaner.”
Asked throughout if he slept with Loz more than once, he simply remarked: “I don’t want to say.”
Matt addressed his alien comment, “That was a point where I was trusting and opening up to Lauren. I felt like I was a different species. It was a metaphor. It was how I was illustrating my depression. Little did I know that Lauren doesn’t know what a metaphor is.”
“There is no regret about doing the show. There’s regret about certain actions and the way certain people have behaved since the show. What’s gone on behind the scenes. I don’t regret doing it.”
“I’ve grown up and I’m doing things now that I wouldn’t do.”
He was questioned if there was pressure to losing his virginity to her.
Deciding not to comment, Matt addressed going to hospital just prior to their intimate bath experience.
“There was so much pressure and anxiety that it manifested into a physical illness.”
Speaking of this year’s villains, Matt observed:“Ines has a lot of emotional baggage. She uses her past to cut people down and make them feel bad. Others use that trauma to build them up.”
“As for Sam – we didn’t spend much time together. He seemed nice.”
So is Sam an actor, he answered,“I don’t know!”
They finished filming December – and Matt says things aren’t amicable between him and his ex-wife.
“This gets a little touchy. There’s been relentless contact. I’ve asked her to stop.”
“The context of the message – to put it bluntly – it’s abuse.”
He was asked: “Does Lauren know about your girlfriend? Is that why she’s messaging?”
“No it’s been happening since before then!”
“We met a couple of months after MAFS. It was ironic. I got everything I asked for in the experiment – just after the show.”
In a shock move, we all we were introduced to Annabelle – who he met before the show aired.
“I’m British. I’ve not seen the show. We actually met through wrestling. We train at UPW on the Sunshine Coast.”
“We started getting on. He showed me a video of running through mazes.”
They have both decided to have not watch the show.
“She knows everything that is going on.”
Speaking of Lauren and her behaviour after the show: “It’s not my place [to say anything to her]. I think it’s hard and I feel for her. I don’t think it says anything about her, that your feelings manifested in the way that they did.”
Adding, “We’ve all been there!”
