It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: After weeks of enduring the shame of being MAFS cuckolded husband, Ryan Gallagher has finally been able to leave the televised experiment – with Davina Rankin firmly NOT in tow.
Despite his bride, who shocked audiences with her affair with married man Dean Wells, having hoped the two could work things out, both Rankin and Gallagher wrote leave at the commitment ceremony tonight.
And Gallagher tells WHO the moment could not have come about quickly enough.
“I love a girl with a sense of humour, anyone who can laugh with me – or at me, I don’t care,” he says of what fundamentally had flawed his relationship with the Instagram model, long before the cheating was exposed. “That’s totally the opposite of what Dav is. I was there to have a good time and do things together but everything with her was a problem.”
But despite the public humiliation he has endured on the show, Gallagher says he’s not cynical about women – and he’s ready to find that life partner he’s been dreaming of.
“I couldn’t hate women if I tried,” he laughs. “You can usually see what type of personality people are when you meet them. And if they’re lovely and down to earth I think it’s s very minimal chance something like (what happened with Davina) is going to happen.
“I don’t intend on dating that type of person again and I’m definitely not afraid to have another go. It probably makes me more afraid to do it again at first sight, but I’m not afraid to do it again.”
