Married At First Sight’s Dean Wells has opened up about his decision to come clean to ‘wife’ Tracey Jewell about his affair with Davina Rankin during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony.
Whilst Dean and Tracey were discussing their evolving relationship with the MAFS experts, the 40-year-old decided to spill all about the secret exchanges and meet-ups between himself and Davina.
“Something didn’t seem quite right, and I felt like maybe I was making a huge mistake by choosing Davina over Tracey,” Wells tells TheFIX.
He continued, “Davina is quite extreme and very full-on, and she was quite intense in the way she was pursuing me. It felt like she came on a bit too strong.”

After the bombshell was dropped, fellow MAFS contestants Sarah Roza and Nasser Sultan called Dean out for being a player, but he disagrees with the title.
“I just don’t believe in that word, really,” he said. “I definitely would not call myself a player.
He added, “I think every man in that room and every woman in that room has had their fair share of casual relationships, and to throw that my way, I thought, was a little bit overly judgemental.”
Dean is adamant that he has quit his affair with Davina because he wants to remain loyal to Tracey.
“Yeah, I did what I did with Davina, and I’m not proud of that, but at [the commitment ceremony] I was throwing myself on the mercy of telling Tracey the truth.”
