Last WHO reported a Married At First Sight fan had published footage on Facebook of Ryan reportedly leaving a shopping centre with a bride who wasn’t his own – Ashley Irvin who is paired with Troy, however, the blonde has just broken her silence on the matter.
Speaking to TV Week, Ashley admitted that she was attracted to the tradie. “Ryan is hot,” she admits. “But during the experiment, I wanted to be loyal.”
The two who were spotted in Ashley’s hometown of Brisbane are yet to confirm their romance, however, in the past, Ryan did deny any romantic links with Ashley during an interview with Canberra Times . The MAFS star said they had simply made plans to spend some time together after he headed to Queensland to help his father, who has Parkinson’s disease, on a building job near her home.
“I rang her and said, ‘What are you doing?’ And she said, ‘Just playing tennis all day, I’m not working’. And I said, ‘I’ll play tennis, I’m coming.'”
Meanwhile, Ashley claims that when she did try and focus her attention on her partner Troy, she realised early on that he might not have had genuine intent to find love by joining the show.
“He just wants to be in the media,” she says. “He told my mum and I that he wants to get into TV – so that was a red flag for me.”
Ashley told the publication that at that stage her opinion of Troy was cemented when he expressed his interest to get into the TV industry.
“Once I knew that, I just put up my guard – I started to question his reasons and motives.”
