Adelaide Fringe is the largest open access arts festival, so it’s a pretty big deal for the astrophysicist.
Announcing the exciting news via Instagram, Matt shared a picture of himself, along with a caption explaining the concept of his upcoming show – which, rather aptly, given he was this season’s Bachelor, is taking place on Valentine’s Day next year.
“How often are you sitting around wondering about where life could exist other than here on Earth, and how exactly would we go about finding it?” he wrote.
“I know! All the time, right!? Well, I’m absolutely over the moon (yep) to be trying to answer those questions at Adelaide Fringe next year! Kicking off on the 14th of February (Valentine’s day — double yep)! Tickets are on sale now!”
This isn’t the first time Matt has fronted a show at Adelaide Fringe. Last year his show was titled ‘Interstellar Friend Request’.
“Looking up at the night sky and contemplating the billions of stars in our own galaxy, physicist Enrico Fermi famously posed a curious and sometimes frightening question, “Where is everybody?” Read the bio.
“In this talk, astrophysicist Matt Agnew seeks to shed some light on some of these exciting questions: are we alone in our solar system? In our galaxy? In the entire universe?”
The Bachelor star and his chosen lady, Chelsie McLeod have been forced to deny split rumours recently after fans noticed they had hardly spent any time together since the show finale aired.
“Hey guys. I’ve had quite a few people message me and ask if Matt and I are still together,” Chelsie said in an Instagram video last month.
“And I can confirm that we are. And the reason that we haven’t done any posts together in a while, is that he’s overseas visiting his nephew who was born when we were filming.”
