Home and Away favourite VJ Patterson (Matt Little) has left Summer Bay for good!
Little, who joined the long-running soap in 2014 as Leah’s (Ada Nicodemou) son, left the series this week after his character VJ decision to escape to protect baby Luc, whose real father is rapist Mick (Kristian Schmid).
Little’s on-screen mum took to Instagram to share a sweet selfie and message about their time together.
“Tonight we said goodbye to this beautiful human. Matt thank u for all the laughs, thank u for being an amazing friend, and always being there for me,” she wrote. “I miss u so much and work just isn’t the same without my little big boy there. I’m so proud of your work and your journey and I can’t wait to see what the next adventure looks like. Love u”.
Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn, also shared a message to her former co-star.
“Last night we said goodbye to this beautiful soul 💙 A true gentleman, with a brilliant sense of humour 💙 Thanks for brightening our days ☀️ You are sorely missed”.
Little obviously wasn’t short of loving friends on set, with Scott Lee posting a tribute as well.
“Hunter: Do you have a spare calculator?
VJ: We need a calculator? … DERP!
