Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential at the launch of Jimmy Choo’s new fragrance in Sydney, Matty revealed that The Bachelor couple have tentatively blocked out September 2020 as a possible wedding date.

“There’s no date [set for the wedding]. We love the idea of doing it next year,” Matty explained.

“It might be in September when it’s not too hot and just starting to get warmer.”

The couple met and fell in love on the 2017 season of The Bachelor and are now parents to five-month-old daughter Marlie-Mae.

Speaking of his soon-to-be wife, Matty said having their daughter has solidified their relationship even more.

‘She will get up at any hour of the night. She does so much work, way more than I do, so the appreciation I have for Laura now is so much more,’ he said.

And to prove his devotion to his daughter, Matty showed off a new tattoo at the event, an inking of the date “19. 6. 10” the day Marlie-Mae was born.

Earlier this year, Matty revealed that he very nearly missed the birth of his daughter. The reality star was on an assignment as Luxury Escapes co-host in Singapore Airport when he realised he was in the wrong terminal.

“It was one of those stopovers where you kind of get too comfortable,” he told 10 Daily, explaining a staff member approached him to tell him he was actually in the wrong terminal and his flight was about to leave without him.

“I thought to myself, ‘If I miss this flight, then I’m going to miss the birth,'” he said.

“So I was that lunatic in the airport sprinting with my bag flailing behind me, only half my jacket was on and I was the very last person to get on that flight.

“And the moment I stood on that plane, they then shut the door and started taxiing towards take-off.”

But in the end it was all for nothing as Marlie-Mae Rose wasn’t born for another five weeks.
