Meghan Markle’s father has given the latest update on his health condition just two days before the royal wedding.
Thomas Markle has successfully completed heart surgery, telling TMZ that doctors implant multiple stents in his blood vessels.
“I’m ok. It will take a long time to heal. Staying in the hospital a few more days. Not allowed to get excited,” he told the gossip site.
The news of Thomas’ heart surgery comes days after back and forth over whether he would attend Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry, and whether he would walk her down the aisle.
On Monday, Thomas said he would not attend the wedding to avoid any embarrassment for his daughter. He then changed his mind and said he had checked himself out of hospital, after suffering a heart attack, so he could fly to London.
Due to the heart surgery, he will not be there to walk Meghan down the aisle.
Thomas believes his heart attack was caused by the letter his son, Thomas Markle Jr., wrote to Harry, warning him against marrying Meghan, his half-sister.
