The eventful royal feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has officially been put to an end, after Prince Charles made it clear their behaviour was unacceptable.
Royal expert and Princess Diana biographer Robert Jobson spoke on Sunrise about the tension between the two duchesses and revealed that they will have to put their differences aside after receiving a stern talking to by Prince Charles at Christmas.
“I think there’s no smoke without fire,” he told the breakfast program.
“I do think it has been blown up a little bit but there have obviously been a few problems between the two ladies and even between the two princes.”
Jobson continued to say that “There’s some truth in the rumours”.
The royal expert claimed that Prince Charles would’ve stepped in to diffuse the ongoing situtation.
“I’m sure at Christmas Prince Charles was knocking heads together and you can see that by those photographs of them all walking together in a line.”
But despite Charles putting the royals in their place, Jobson says it will take some time for Meghan and Kate to get used to their new friendliness, analysing that their feud had come to a bitter end.
“They looked like they had been pushed together in a line, to be honest.”
Meghan is due to give birth to her baby in April and unlike Kate, will not be giving birth in the traditional Lido Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
While it has been rumoured Meghan has chosen the Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey as a snub to Kate, Jobson says the choice actually makes a lot of sense for the royal.
“They’re going to be down in Frogmore Cottage , which is near Windsor so they’re going to be out of town anyway.”
“This is actually where Sophie Wessex had her babies and I think they’re quite skilled in older mums,” he said.
“Sophie was quite late having her babies – 38 or 39 I think – and then you’ve got Meghan who’s going to be 37.
“I think it’s best to be in a national health hospital where they’ve got all the facilities and all of the emergency units.”
Meghan recently told royal fans that her baby is due in late April.
