Meghan Markle pulls out of Fraser Island as Prince Harry continues Day 7 of the royal tour

The royal-mum-to-be needs some rest!

Prince Harry and pregnant Meghan Markle are already day 7 into their royal tour of Australia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will fly north past Brisbane and go to Fraser Island.

Prince Harry will be holding the fort – doing most of the official activities while pregnant Meghan gets some rest.

The 37-year-old will still travel to the region as a tourist, with the palace sharing, “After a busy program, the Duke and Duchess have decided to cut back the Duchess’s schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week-and-a-half of the tour.”

Kensington Palace’s statement continued, “The Duke will continue with the engagements on Fraser Island as planned.”

During an Invictus event, a fan asked, “Harry, where’s Meghan?”

He told the crowd: “She’s resting at home. Being pregnant takes its toll.”

They are expected to stay at Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Yesterday, royal reporter Rebecca English shared, “One source tells me it isn’t that the duchess is feeling poorly, but they’re trying to ‘pace’ her given how many engagements are coming up. The couple are due to undertake 76 on the 16-day tour. It is unlikely Meghan will do many engagements on Fraser Island due to the terrain.”

On October 23, the couple will depart Australia to travel to Suva, Fiji, where they will be greeted by a guard of honour before meeting His Excellency The President of Fiji at Borron House.

They will then attend an official welcome ceremony in the city centre’s Albert Park where the couple will witness what is known as Veirqaraqaravi Vakavanu and will conclude the day with a Reception and a State Dinner hosted by The President of Fiji at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
