Suits fans have finally got to see Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) as a bride in the season 7 finale which just aired in the US.

Fans have known for a while that Meghan and co-star Adam Patrick J. Adams, who plays her on-screen boyfriend Mike Ross, were leaving the long-running legal drama after the seventh season, but how they would be written out of the show has just been revealed.

In the season finale, Mike and Rachel are offered the opportunity to run their own law firm in Seattle.

Of course, Mike wasn’t sure if he could leave Specter Litt and his best friend Harvey, but Rachel argued that the now was the best time.

“But Mike, we’re young and we don’t have any kids yet,” she said. “And if we’re ever going to do something like this in our lives, now is the time.”

Because of their decision to move, Mike and Rachel’s wedding day had to be moved up.

And although it wasn’t what we’re expecting to see when Meghan and Prince Harry say ‘I do’ at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. on May 19, it was just as romantic.

Rachel wore an A-line Anne Barge Versailles dress, the same she wore to her almost wedding in season 5, however they added a black sash and altered the back.

“From the second I met you, I knew I wanted to be here with you some day, walking down the aisle arm in arm,” Mike tells her.
Rachel responds, “You’re the husband I’ve always wanted and I can’t wait to begin our adventure together.”
