The Spice Girls’ Mel C has set the record straight on whether or not the girl band will perform at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s May 19 wedding – and sadly it’s not happening.
“We were never invited. We were never asked to perform,” Mel C told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa breakfast radio show.
“I was a little bit annoyed.”
Sporty Spice’s confirmation comes after Scary Spice, AKA Mel B had hinted that the iconic 90s pop band would attend the royal event.
As previously reported on WHO, Mel B visited talk show TheReal – where she said she and fellow stars Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm were invited to the wedding.
Initially, host Loni Love asked the singer if she knew anyone at all who would be going to the wedding, Mel B nodded yes.
“All five Spice Girls are,” she said. “Why am I so honest?” she cheekily said at the time.
When quizzed whether or not the popular 90s band would perform on the day, Mel coyly hinted: “This is where I’m just… I need to go, I’m going to be fired.”
Hmm, we don’t know what to believe! At least we know Ed Sheeran is 100% performing and we have a feeling it will be Perfect.
