Miley Cyrus is starting off 2020 with a new haircut straight from 1985!

The singer showcased her new mullet in her latest Instagram post, announcing she is set to reveal new music soon.
“New Hair. New Year. NEW MUSIC!” she wrote alongside the picture.
While we reckon Miley (just about) pulls off the retro ‘do, fans weren’t so sure about the 27-year-old’s choice of haircut when she first showed off the beginnings of a mullet on Instagram last November.
Fans were quick to slam Miley’s hairstylist, Sally Hershberger for the cut, even though Miley confessed her mum, Tish was responsible for her new ‘do.
“This is the worst haircut I’ve ever laid my eyes on u call urself a hairstylist 😢 now this is gonna be all over TMZ and the news plus the locals that don’t like Miley are gonna think she’s going through a meltdown again why can’t we ever win gonna go cry now bye! That was all,” one fan wrote alongside the post.
“First of all if you knew anything about hair, it’s the position she’s in that’s why it looks that way, it’s 100 percent even and she also had it straightened so it’s more severe, which I actually like,” Hershberger wrote back. “That being said, chill out and know it’s a modern mullet, which is very cool but it’s something you probably aren’t even well-versed in sorry but not sorry 😂.”
