Miley Cyrus undergoes surgery after suffering issue 'she had unknowingly had for years'

Miley Cyrus has reportedly undergone surgery.

A source has confirmed to PEOPLE that the Wrecking Balls singer has left the hospital after vocal cord surgery.

The insider also revealed the 26-year-old will be faced with several weeks of silence as she recovers from the operation.

The singer discovered the issue – which she unknowingly had for years – after suffering tonsillitis last month.
